Steps For Android Phone Users

Step 1. Launch the file manager App of your mobile. You can also install different file manager App on Your Android devices like ES file Explorer, total commander File manager App etc.

Step 2. Find your WhatsApp media folder using the file manager. Commonly it is found on Home >> SD card >> Whatsapp >> Media.

Step 3. Inside the Media folder you will see a sub folder named WhatsApp images.

Step 4. Rename this folder to .WhatsApp images.

Alternative Way

Step 4. Alternatively you can also create a .nomedia file inside this folder. You can create new file by clicking on the Plus button and select the file option.

Facebook added a sidebar ticker to the right of the newly redesigned News Feed. Learn how to remove it in Chrome and Firefox.

How to Hide Files Inside JPEG GIF PNG Images

We discussed various methods for hiding files inside your computer. Methods include super secure Truecrypt which offers military level security and handy MyLockbox to lock any folder. But all these methods require installation of software on your PC which is obviously visible to others.

We are now going to talk about a unique method of hiding files that’s kinda sneaky and doesn’t require a third-party tool. This technique involves hiding files inside JPEG, GIF or PNG images. Sounds cool, right? Lets see how it is done.

1. Create a folder in C drive. Give it a name, lets say Testfile. It’s location should be C:Testfile.

2. Now move all the files you want to hide inside this folder. Also move the image file in which you want to hide those files. Let’s say the files which I want to hide are FileA.txt and FileB.txt, and the image file is Image.jpg. We are taking .txt files as an example. You can take files of any format (.mp3, .doc, .divx, .flv etc.) and any number of files.

3. Select both the files you want to hide (FileA.txt and FileB.txt in this case), right click and select “Add to Archive”. Make sure that you’ve got a file compression tool like WinZip or ZipGenius, a cool free winzip alternative, installed.

4. Give it a name. I have given Compressed.rar. You can give it any name.

5. Click on “Start” button. Type cmd in the search box. Press Enter.

6. A command prompt window will open.

7. Type cd and press Enter to get to the root directory.

8. Now type cd Testfile to enter in the newly created directory.

9. Type copy /b Image.png + Compressed.rar Secretimage.png and press Enter.

10. When you look up at Testfile folder, you will find a new image file called SecretImage.png. This image file is created in previous step with the help of command. Secretimage is just a name given to the new image. You could give any name and extension (like xyz.jpg or xyz.png).

Both the files FileA.txt and FileB.txt are hidden inside this image file. You can delete rest of the files now.

How to get our Files back from the image?

That’s easy too. Just right click on the image (SecretImage.png) and open it with Winrar/Winzip/ZipGenius. You will see both the hidden files. Extract them anywhere on your computer.

Update: From comments I came to know that few users are facing problem while opening image file in Winrar application. They can change the file extension of secret image file in which all the other files are hidden from .jpg to .RAR. (In the above case SecretImage.png to Secretimage.RAR) and then open it with the help of Winrar.

1) Go to Start -> Run -> “regedit”

2) Navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Policies/Explorer

Ex: If you wish to vanish drive D:, insert value 8 in Value Data.

How To Hide Your Entire Hard Drive

What do you do when loads of data on your computer needs to be cleverly hidden away from inquisitive family members or office colleagues? Software such as folder lockers, encryption utilities and others do a decent job, but is a costly method and leaves traces. We will show you a simple trick with which you can hide your data easily from others. This trick is very simple works against casual snoopers, but will not prevent a skilled spy from finding it! To do it, all you need is a separate partition to store all the data you want to hide.

Step 1: Create an additional partition and format it. Windows Vista and 7 users can use the Shrink Space option from the Disk Management Utility to create a new volume without repartitioning the hard drive. Windows XP or older users can use third party partition manager utilities to create a new partition. If you already have an additional partition or drive, then you can skip this part. Once you have created the partition, format it and transfer all your data to this new drive.

Step 2: Now let’s assume that you have your sensitive data on drive ‘D’ and want to prevent it from showing up in the Windows Explorer. To do this you need to start the Group Policy Editor utility. Click ‘Start | Run’ and type ‘Gpedit.msc’ and press [Enter]. Here scroll down to ‘User Configuration | Administrative Templates | Windows Components | Windows Explorer’ on the left pane. Double-click on the ‘Hide these specified drives in My Computer’ on the right pane. In the following window, select ‘Enabled’ and choose the ‘D’ drive from the drop down list under ‘Options’. Apply the settings and exit.

Step 3: The drive letter ‘D’ is now hidden from Windows Explorer. In order to access this drive in future, all you need is to enter ‘D:’ in the ‘Start | Run…’ dialog box nor in the address bar of Windows Explorer. Your drive will be accessible for your work since only you know it exists.

Note: This is not a fool-proof method and the hidden drive can even be targeted by viruses. Also, remember that this is not an encrypted partition. The lists of recently opened files in each program can also expose the hidden drive’s existence. Use a utility such as Ccleaner or Window Washer to wipe out these tracks.

Hide and Seek

I taught at the Masters of Digital Painting workshop in Moscow earlier this month by invitation from Max Kostenko. At the workshop, Denis Zilber taught about light, and Serge Birault taught techniques of pin-up illustration. I talked about some rules of composition and then did a demonstration on controlling a composition, starting with this image, which I deliberately made a bit over-detailed and convoluted:

It could be worse, but its still a mess, right? Almost every artist runs into problems like this sometimes, so I wanted to show how to sort through a flawed and complicated composition.

I took the picture to this point during the workshop:

Unfortunately, there wasnt enough time to do more than push the values and colors around. Ive spent a couple hours on it since then, trying to take it where I thought it should go. There is one thing still bothering me, but I cant figure out how to fix it without damaging the theme and integrity of the picture.

Ive taught before that when you cant control the size at which people will view a piece (like when posting it online, where you cant control monitor size or other things like level of zoom), you should design your composition to read clearly at almost any distance. But when I tried making the silhouettes clear and cropping it so the boy was visible at smaller scales, it lost that epic sense of exploration that I wanted.

A stronger composition? Maybe, but I still like most things better in the other one.

Not to mention that obscuring the monster a bit feels right for a game of hide and seek---in fact I may have pulled him out from the background too much as it is. Anyway, the point is that this one is meant to be seen large so make sure to click on the image. Sorry, thumbnail-aficionados! I guess I have to conclude that no set of rules can cover all compositions.
